I was having a lot of trouble booting a Kali Linux persistent drive (which was a 64 GB drive) due to the limited memory. So I decided to jump the gun and try the installation on this drive.
When I tried installing writing the Kali Linux iso file to this Seagate 500 GB External Harddrive, it wrote within a minute!!! Note that a 2.6 GB iso file usually takes more than 25 minutes to write to a drive. It absolutely shocked me how powerful and fast this drive is!
Moreover, when I ran the installation of Live Persistence on this drive, it ran faster than any of my other drives I use for booting!
Overall, this drive's speed, power, and memory puts it above any other drive I have ever tried. I rate this 5/5!
Ethan, I have about filled my Seagate External. When I looked into it lately, I was unable to determine what each file contained. Do you have any ideas ? Ewen
